Getting started
What to know before beginning care with Uni.
Do you accept new clients?
Yes. DANGSKYN accepts a limited number of new clients for in-studio and virtual skincare.
New in-studio skincare clients begin with a consultation and first-time facial. Virtual clients begin with a virtual assessment. This allows us to understand your skin, goals, current routine, and treatment history before recommending next steps.
Regular and returning clients receive scheduling priority. All appointment requests are subject to review before confirmation.
How are new-client appointment requests approved?
After submitting your appointment request, please complete all required consultation, consent, and studio policy forms as soon as you receive them.
Your forms help us assess your concerns, treatment history, and whether the requested service is appropriate for your needs. Submitting a request does not guarantee approval or confirmation.
Incomplete forms may delay review or prevent your appointment from being confirmed. Please follow the confirmation instructions provided through the booking system.
DANGSKYN reserves the right to decline an appointment or service at our professional discretion based on service suitability, consultation findings, or failure to meet studio policies.
Do I need a reevaluation before returning?
If it has been more than six months since your last skincare appointment and you have not purchased skincare homecare through DANGSKYN during that time, please book a reevaluation through our new-client appointment option. This allows us to reassess your skin, review your current routine, and determine the most appropriate next steps before resuming treatment.
Book the new-client appointment optionWhat’s included in my first skincare visit?
Your first in-studio skincare visit includes a detailed skin analysis, a conversation about your concerns, lifestyle, and current routine, and a customized treatment selected for your skin’s needs that day.
We’ll discuss realistic goals, homecare recommendations, and possible next steps. You do not need to know which treatment to choose before coming in. We’ll guide you through the process.
Advanced treatments are recommended only when appropriate for your skin and treatment history.
Do you offer virtual skincare consultations?
Yes. Virtual assessments provide personalized guidance for clients who cannot visit the studio or prefer remote support.
We’ll review your concerns, current routine, and relevant history, then discuss homecare recommendations and next steps. Virtual appointments do not include an in-studio treatment.
How long is an appointment?
Length depends on the service. First visits allow extra time for conversation. Your booking shows the exact time.
Skincare & acne care
Answers about skincare visits, acne care, and products tailored to your skin.
Skincare visits
Can I book a one-time facial?
Yes. You can visit DANGSKYN for an individual treatment without committing to an ongoing program. New skincare clients still begin with the required first-time visit.
For concerns such as acne, uneven tone, or barrier stress, consistent homecare and follow-up visits may be recommended. We’ll discuss what is realistic for your goals, schedule, and budget without pressure to commit.
How should I prepare?
For a skincare visit, arrive with a clean face and no makeup when possible. Preparation depends on the treatment, so follow the instructions Uni gives you. If you are coming for a chemical peel, see the peel preparation guidance below and share any changes to your skin or routine.
Can I wear makeup after?
Skin is best left bare for the rest of the day. Uni will guide you based on the treatment performed.
Acne care
Can DANGSKYN help with acne?
Yes. Uni takes a holistic approach to acne management. She considers your skin history, lifestyle, routine, barrier condition, and possible contributors to breakouts. Education, practical lifestyle adjustments, a customized home care routine, and consistent visits can help manage acne over time. Recommendations are tailored to your concerns and skin barrier condition, and adjusted as your skin responds.
What is the Acne Bootcamp?
The DANGSKYN Acne Bootcamp is a guided approach that combines professional treatments, personalized home care guidance, and ongoing adjustments. Acne Bootcamp appointments are reserved exclusively for clients actively participating in the program and returning every 2–6 weeks, as recommended for their skin. If you are new to DANGSKYN or are no longer following this schedule, please book a consultation or an appropriate returning-client appointment so we can reassess your skin before continuing.
How is home care chosen for acne?
Uni recommends a home care routine and products based on your skin concerns and skin barrier condition. She considers your skin history, current routine, lifestyle, and other possible contributors to breakouts, then adjusts recommendations as your skin responds.
What products are used?
Product choices depend on your skin, sensitivity, and goals. Care may include Korean skincare and professional Western skincare formulas. Uni explains why each recommendation may help, with no pressure to purchase.
Chemical peels
What happens during a chemical peel?
Skin assessment
Uni reviews your skin history, current condition, sensitivity, barrier, routine, medication and procedure history, and goals. She checks whether your skin is ready that day.
Peel selection
Together, you discuss the formula and approach chosen for your skin, what you may feel, and the aftercare. The peel and timing are individualized. Uni may adjust the plan or recommend waiting if your skin needs support first.
Treatment and guidance
Uni applies the selected peel and checks in with you. Before you leave, she reviews your aftercare and when to get in touch.
How should I prepare for a chemical peel?
Share your history
Tell Uni about prescription and over-the-counter medications, supplements, your current skin care routine, recent procedures or treatments, and any changes in your skin.
Follow individualized guidance
The timing for pausing products depends on your routine, medications, and skin. Ask Uni what to pause and when. Do not stop a prescribed medication unless the clinician who prescribed it tells you to.
Check skin readiness
Let Uni know if your skin is irritated, unusually sensitive, sunburned, or recently tanned. She will assess your skin and may adjust the plan or wait until it is ready. If it has been six months or more since your last peel, your skin and plan need reassessment before another peel is selected.
What is recovery like after a chemical peel?
Follow your aftercare
Use the routine and products Uni recommends. Keep skin care gentle, avoid picking or rubbing your skin, and wait for Uni’s guidance before restarting retinoids or exfoliating products.
Protect your skin
Use broad-spectrum sunscreen and limit direct sun exposure while your skin recovers. Follow Uni’s instructions about which products to use and when.
Know when to reach out
Contact Uni if your skin’s response is unexpected or you have questions about aftercare. For severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, seek urgent medical attention.
Korean lash lift
Service details, preparation, and aftercare for your lash lift.
Korean lash lift
What is a Korean lash lift?
A Korean lash lift lifts and enhances your natural lashes without extensions or adding lashes. At DANGSKYN, the shape and technique are selected to suit your natural lashes and features.
How is a Korean lash lift different from a traditional lash lift?
The Korean approach emphasizes customized curl mapping and a softer, more natural looking finish. Uni considers your natural lash direction, length, and eye shape when selecting the rod and curl.
How is my Korean lash lift customized?
Uni considers your natural lash pattern, eye shape, lash condition, and the result you want, then selects a technique and rod size suited to your lashes. She assesses suitability and discusses realistic expectations before treatment.
How long does a Korean Lash Lift appointment take?
Appointments typically take 45–75 minutes, depending on your natural lashes and whether tinting is included.
How long do Korean lash lift results last?
Results vary with natural lash health, condition, thickness, fullness, growth pattern, and aftercare. A Korean lash lift enhances your existing lashes and does not add lashes. The current estimate is about 6 to 8 weeks, but duration is not guaranteed. Uni assesses suitability and discusses realistic expectations without guaranteeing a particular curl, fullness, or duration.
Will a lash lift damage my natural lashes?
A lash lift uses processing solutions, so lash condition and technique matter. Uni assesses your lashes and uses controlled timing tailored to their condition.
What happens as my lashes grow out?
Your lashes naturally shed and regrow, so the lift can look less even over time. This is a normal part of the grow out phase.
Can I add a tint?
A tint is optional and can add definition, especially if your natural lashes are light. Ask the studio about availability when booking.
When can I wear eye makeup after a Korean lash lift?
Uni will review when to resume eye makeup and which products to use as part of your aftercare guidance.
Can I request a silent appointment?
Silent appointments are highly encouraged for Korean lash lifts. You can mention your preference when requesting your appointment. Uni will keep conversation to what is needed for your comfort, consultation, and safety.
How should I prepare for my Korean Lash Lift?
Avoiding caffeine on the day of your appointment is strongly recommended because it may increase eye movement or fluttering during treatment.
Clean lashes and no mascara, including clear mascara, are required. Remove all eye makeup, extensions, clusters, lash adhesive, and residue before your appointment.
If any lash product residue remains, the service will be declined. The scheduled service fee will be charged and cannot be credited toward a future appointment.
What aftercare should I follow after a Korean lash lift?
Keep lashes dry for the first 24 hours, avoid oil based products around them, brush them gently each day, and avoid rubbing or pulling. Uni will share aftercare guidance before you leave.
